Chambers for Sport was founded by British track sprinter Dwain Chambers to encourage personal development through sport and fitness.
Dwain developed the multi-tiered programme after learning there is more to being a professional athlete than just execution on race day – lifestyle, nutrition and education are all vital components for success. After training as a fully qualified personal trainer himself, Dwain turned his attention to supporting those looking to make the transition into the fitness world.
Chambers for Sport provides a full training series for all individuals with a passion for sport and fitness as well as teams and elite-level athletes. The project provides training, motivation and top-level support to provide the necessary training to become a fitness industry professional.
The programme is supported by TrainFitness (formally known as Fitness Industry Education (FIE) and Fitness FX) to ensure the highest standards of education are provided.
Dwain also mentors on an individual basis. He has delivered talks to Premiership and Championship academies on his professional career and provided motivational talks to schools and organisations.
Chambers for Sport works with a number of charity partners to raise money for those facing some of life’s most difficult challenges. In September 2013, Dwain led the Chambers for Sport trek to the summit of Mont Blanc for Teens Unite, a charity founded by Karen Millen OBE which supports teens battling life-threatening illness.
